Community Resources

Recently, we opened the doors to a state-of-the-art center. Certified as our Family Success Center by the United Way of Greater Union County, this site is the community’s newest resource hub for health services and social service programs. On-site offerings include:

The Family Resource Room serves as the gateway to the center by hosting resources offered by community, city, and county agencies. A resource counselor staffs this one-stop resource room and direct community members in need. In addition, this room provides families with both online access and printed resources.

The Technology Laboratory is equipped with computers, printers, a tablet, and a Smart Board. This room offers a variety of internet-based programming to assist in lesson plans for all of the EPort Center’s programs. The Smart Board and tablet are particularly important, since they help the EPort Center stand out among its peers in the social services industry and are easy-to-use tools for group and parent instructions.

The Youth Library and Book Club offers a full range of youth and young adult literature. The youth book club brings together teens and younger children using interactive reading and writing workshops.

The Community Room is designed to provide meeting space and accommodate lessons for groups of children, teens, adults, and seniors. The HDTV with Internet access allows the staff to be exponentially more creative and productive.

The Neighborhood Health Center of Elizabeth is located on the 2nd floor of the EPort Center and is a key partner offering health care and dental services, as well as a pharmacy.

Early Childhood & Preschool Classrooms are located on the 1st floor along with a Parent Training room.
